visiting groups

The pastoral care of our church family and others in our parish is a high priority for us. Trained volunteers from our congregation support the minister in visiting folk for different reasons, including illness, bereavement, frailty and coping with young families. Our volunteers have all had the relevant Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) checks done. Their work is confidential, bringing support, care, a friendly ear, fellowship in prayer and bible readings to those whom they visit.

The team aim to build relationships with the individual people and families and learn what they would like from our visits. Usually the visitor will arrange a suitable time to visit, however on some occasions they would just pop in on the off chance of folk being free for a chat.

Please remember our visitors in your prayers, that each may have the love, wisdom and sensitivity needed.
